This policy covers how Nien Homestays collects and handles guest information across our website, booking system, and check-in process.

When you make a booking with us, we collect your name, phone number, email, and stay details (dates, room, number of guests). Ahead of check-in, we ask every guest to upload a government-issued ID (Aadhaar, Driving Licence, or Voter ID for Indian nationals; Passport and Visa or OCI card for foreign nationals) — this is required for verifying guest identity in line with standard Indian hospitality practice.

Uploaded ID documents are stored in a private Google Drive folder accessible only to Nien Homestays. Booking and contact details are stored in our secure booking database. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties, except where necessary to operate our booking, payment, and check-in process (e.g. our payment processor for handling payments).

We use Vercel Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand site traffic — both are cookie-free and don't store any information that identifies you individually. When you switch the site's language, a session cookie remembers your choice for that visit; it isn't set otherwise, and it expires when you close your browser. If you pay via Razorpay, their secure checkout may set its own cookies during that step. If you pay by international card, you're taken to Stripe's own secure payment page, which doesn't involve any cookies on our site at all. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't share your browsing activity with any third party for marketing purposes.

We retain guest information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the stay, meet legal/regulatory record-keeping requirements, and resolve any disputes. You can request deletion of your information by contacting us below, subject to any legal retention obligations.
